Cline and OpenCode are tested with WebWright's OpenAI-compatible API. Both let you set a custom base URL, so moving to Wren R1 is a configuration change rather than a rewrite. Here is the exact setup for each.
Facts for both clients:
- Base URL:
https://webwright.ai/v1 - Chat model:
wren-r1 - API key: create one at https://webwright.ai/login?signup=true (a 4-day trial is available)
Cline
Cline's OpenAI Compatible provider uses three settings. In Cline, open the provider settings, choose OpenAI Compatible, and set:
- Base URL:
https://webwright.ai/v1 - API Key: your WebWright key
- Model ID:
wren-r1
Cline sends the standard OpenAI-compatible chat payload to that base URL.
OpenCode
OpenCode configures any OpenAI-compatible API through a custom provider. First store the credential:
/connect
# Enter provider id: webwright
# Enter your WebWright API key Then add the provider to your opencode.json:
{
"$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
"provider": {
"webwright": {
"npm": "@ai-sdk/openai-compatible",
"name": "WebWright",
"options": { "baseURL": "https://webwright.ai/v1" },
"models": { "wren-r1": { "name": "Wren R1" } }
}
}
} Run /models and select Wren R1. The provider id in /connect must match the id in opencode.json.
What is tested
Cline and OpenCode are tested and verified to work with WebWright's OpenAI-compatible endpoint. No other client integration is claimed here.
