Page Assist is a browser extension that puts an AI assistant in your sidebar. It speaks the OpenAI API, so any OpenAI-compatible endpoint can sit behind it. If you would rather not run a model on your own machine, WebWright is one hosted option, and this is the short version of how to wire it in.

You need two things: the Page Assist extension and a WebWright API key. The key is the only credential, and you keep it in Page Assist's own settings.

Open Page Assist, then open Settings. Go to the "OpenAI Compatible API" tab and click "Add Provider". Choose WebWright from the dropdown. If your installed version does not list it yet, choose "Custom" and enter the base URL https://webwright.ai/v1. Paste your WebWright API key, then click Save.

Now start a chat in the sidebar and select model wren-r1. Send a short message. When you get a reply, the wiring is done: Page Assist is calling https://webwright.ai/v1/chat/completions with your key, and the rest of your sidebar works as before.

If you also transcribe audio, the same base URL and key cover https://webwright.ai/v1/audio/transcriptions, with an example model whisper-large-v3-turbo. One endpoint and one key cover both chat and transcription.

If you want help choosing the first use case or checking cost before you wire it into something larger, that is what a consult is for: https://webwright.ai/consulting
